Terms of Use
Last updated 25 October 2026
Muaid helps teachers and parents find what a learner is stuck on and suggests what to do about it. By creating an account or using Muaid you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who may use Muaid
- Adults (teachers, parents and guardians) may create their own accounts.
- Children under 13 should use Muaid only through an account set up for them by a parent, guardian or teacher, and with that adult’s permission. If you set up an account for a child, you are responsible for their use of it.
- You must give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used it.
2. What Muaid is, and is not
- Muaid is a helper for the adult who is teaching. It is not a replacement for a teacher, a tutor or a professional assessment.
- Quizzes, courses, summaries, explanations, grades, feedback, study plans and activities are produced with the help of an AI model. They can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular child. Check them before you rely on them or give them to a learner.
- Hands-on activities involve a real child doing real things. Always supervise, use only the listed materials, and stop if anything is unsafe. You are responsible for the safety of any activity you carry out.
- A weakness or score shown in Muaid is an estimate from the answers it has seen. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a judgement about a child.
3. Children’s information and who can see it
- A teacher or guardian can see a child’s scores, reports and study plan only once they are linked to that child: by creating the child’s account, by an invitation the child’s guardian accepted, or because the child joined their class with a class code. Assigning a quiz to a child does not by itself give access to their results.
- Do not share a class code, setup link or invitation link with anyone you would not trust with access to a child. A student who joins with a class code is shown the teacher’s name first and can leave the class again.
- Do not enter a child’s full name, address, phone number or other personal details into free-text fields. A nickname or alias is enough.
- If you upload a photograph of a child’s paper work, you confirm that you are allowed to, and that you are the child’s teacher or guardian.
4. Your content and how we use it
- You keep ownership of what you put in: pasted material, your own questions and a child’s answers. You give Muaid permission to store it and process it, including by an AI model, to provide the service to you.
- Only paste material you have the right to use. Do not upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone’s copyright, or that is harmful to children.
- If a teacher edits an AI-generated quiz or test, the original and the edit may be reviewed by us to improve the prompts that generate content. We review that by hand and do not use it to identify or profile a child.
- Generated content is checked automatically for appropriateness, but that check is limited. Report anything unsuitable to us.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Muaid to harass, mislead or harm anyone, or to access a child’s information you are not entitled to;
- try to get around access controls, rate limits or sign-in protections, or use someone else’s account;
- send automated or very high volumes of requests, or interfere with the service;
- attempt to make the AI produce harmful or inappropriate material, or copy the service to build a competing one.
We may limit or suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
6. Availability
Muaid is offered as a beta. It may be slow, change, or be unavailable, sometimes without notice. Keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, such as a printed worksheet.
7. Liability
Muaid is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the service or from reliance on generated content, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the past 12 months (which, while Muaid is free, is nothing). Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using Muaid at any time. To have your account, or a child’s account, and its data deleted, write to us at the address below. We may close accounts as described in section 5.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will say so in the app. Using Muaid after a change means you accept it.
10. Contact
